| Shri Jagdambika Pal |
|
|
Sri Jagdambika Pal, Chairman, Surya Group of Institutions, was born in Basti District of Eastern U.P. He graduated from Lucknow University in 1970, did L.L.B. from Gorakhpur University in 1973 and completed double M.A. in History and Political Science in 1980 and 1982 respectively from Avadh University. Enthusiastic to serve his state, he joined politics and became a member of Congress party. He has been elected - M.L.C. twice, from 1981 to 1993 and MLA thrice from 1993-2007 representing Basti Vidhan Sabha constituency. He is the current M.P. of Dumariyaganj constituency, elected in 2009. His other portfolios include being Cabinet Minister for Transport in 1997-98 and Chief Minister of U.P. in 1998. |

He has been Chief Vice President of U.P. Congress Vidhan Mandal Dal in 1994-96, President of U.P. Congress Committee in 2003-04,member of Public Works Committee in 2002, President U.P. Olympic Association, Lucknow in 1997-2000 and Sabhapati of Grievance Cell of Financial Audit of local units in 2009. |

He is an outstanding Educationist. Having realized importance of rural women he started Surya Bux Pal Memorial Girls Inter College in Bankati, in 1996 and Moolraji Devi Memorial Degree College in Bankati, Basti. He established Surya Bux Pal Charitable Trust in Lucknow in 2005, for promoting Technical and Management Education. Within a short span of four years, he established four colleges, namely, College of Engineering Science & Technology in 2005, Surya College of Business & Management in 2007, Surya College of Pharmacy and Surya School of Planning & Engineering Management in 2008. More than 1200 students are enrolled in of B.Tech, M.B.A, B.Pharma , PGDM and BBA programmes. He aims to elevate Surya Group of colleges to the status of a university. |

I welcome you to Surya Group of Institutions which is located in historic city of Lucknow. I wish to assure the students and their parents that we at our institute have set very high goal and standards for ourselves so that students joining us are moulded into effective leaders, Engineers and managers to be acceptable to the corporate world and business environment. Besides imparting high quality education, We lay maximum emphasis on overall personality development of students and their placement in the appropriate slot on completion of the education. We also try and instill values through courses, activities, events and the environment we are creating. Ample opportunities are provided to interact with national and international leaders from every walk of life and learn the problems and prospects ahead of them. These interactions combined with the class room inputs help students to opt for a career they dream of. In other words we develop each student into a knowledgeable person competent to analyze various situations/problems and deal with them successfully. |
